Summer is here

Our summer vacation officially starts tomorrow. I have a ton of videos to edit and post so keep a look out for those. In the meantime I'm trying out this new panoramic software for the iPhone called "auto stitch." it seems to be a lot easier to use than the previous application I've been using, panolab pro, but it also seems to lack the manual controls that panolab has. I think I'll stick with it though. Here's a sample.

Better than IBM

There is some sort of school for technology, maybe a design school- I'm not sure, in this spiral tower next to Nagoya station. One of my students told me it's called HAL (as you can see in the photo) because they wanted to be "better" than IBM. So they named it HAL, H comes before I in the alphabet, A before B and L before M. Therefore HAL > IBM? I think it's pretty funny.

Toyohashi on Tuesdays

On the way to toyohashi from our new apartment which is only a 15 min walk from Nagoya station. Another beautiful day in japan, though I have yet to find my beloved canon vixia hf100 HD camcorder. Where oh where can you be?

A beautiful sad day

It looks like I lost my HD video camera during the move this weekend. I'm still hoping it turns up. It's getting in the way of enjoying this beautiful day.
