the kanadian in kobe
while staying in osaka over the winter break we decided to take the short train ride over to kobe to meet a popular youtube japan blogger, "busankevin."kevin took us around kobe and showed us some of the cool sights. be sure to check out his cool vidds of kobe.

himeji castle, mother of all japanese castles.
antonette and i skipped town and decided to spend a few days in the kansai region. it's pretty far away, but if you take the shinkansen (the bullet train) it's only a 50 min. train ride from nagoya. more footage of that later.
we spent our first day traveling to himeji, a city famous for it's castle. himeji castle is one of twelve japanese castles still standing in their original condition. it's also the largest. below is a 2 part video of the castle followed by a slideshow. take a look.
